Driver Safety

Ensuring that our customers’ shipments arrive on time is important, but our first consideration is always that they arrive safely. Every Roadway employee knows that safety comes first, but it’s our drivers who best exemplify our company’s safety focus.

Each driver learns the keys to safe operation, resulting in safe-driving records that are among the industry’s best. We are fortunate to have a large number of drivers who’ve successfully traveled over a million miles without an accident, and there is even a select group that has reached the four million-mile mark.

We promote safety through our participation in the National Truck Driving Championships. Some of the safest Roadway drivers share their expertise with others as members of our Road Teams. We encourage safe driving practices for all motorists with through our support of the "Share the Road Safely" and No-Zone programs.
