Dear Roadway,
Recently my wife and I attended the FMCA GEAR RV motor coach rally in Fayetteville, NC, and had the good fortune to be exposed to the "No Zone" schooling provided by Roadway Express--in particular provided by Kevin and Larry.
We want to tell you that these gentlemen are indeed a credit to your organization and are providing an invaluable service to the "motor coaching" public. They provided us with an insight to what a truck driver sees through his rear view mirrors; more importantly what he doesn't see! And most of what was discussed for truck drivers, also goes for motor coach drivers. Being able to sit in the tractor cab and experience it for ourselves was awesome to say the least.
We also found the five Smith Factors to be very valuable as well. And by providing Kevin with a stamped pre-addressed envelope he sent us some of the Smith Factor decals that will go onto our motor coach dash ASAP.
We were really surprised that Roadway Corporation takes the time and spends the money to educate the public to what truck drivers have to put up with day after day. This was a very valuable experience for us both and, thanks to Kevin and Larry, the information is now permanently imprinted in our minds.
I also participated in the 2 day, 6 hour, RV Alliance RV driving course given at the rally. As a result of that course information, coupled with the information Kevin and Larry presented, I found myself being a lot more tolerant of the truckers and everyone else on the road as well, when driving home from that rally. My wife was definitely elated!!
Please accept our heart felt thanks for a job well done and please continue that public education.
