
The NASDAQ Stock Market welcomed the Roadway Corporation and its executive team to the Market Opening on January 22, 2003. Michael Wickham, Roadway Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, opened trading at 9:30 a.m. Roadway Corp. released its fourth-quarter earnings and year-end results before the market opened that same day. The company also hosted a conference call and Webcast at 11:00 a.m. to review the quarter.

More customers are utilizing our electronic bills of lading instead of typing or writing bills of lading by hand. Choose from our web-based application in my.roadway.com or the bill of lading (BOL) module in ExpressWORKS (Roadway's PC Transportation Management Software). You can transmit your electronic bills of lading via EDI using the ANSI ASC X12 industry standard 211 transaction set. Customers can use the fillable bill of lading in the Forms Library of www.roadway.com.

Roadway Corporation announced on January 24, 2003, that the sale of its subsidiary, Arnold Transportation Services, is complete. Arnold has been purchased by a management group led by Michael S. Walters, the unit's President and Chief Executive Officer and a private equity firm, Jefferies Capital Partners.
The transaction is valued at approximately $55 million. Roadway will use the proceeds to reduce debt levels and pursue additional LTL opportunities.
