Three my.roadway Updates

Transit Analysis Update--Experience more self-serve functionality and flexibility in creating custom reports. Customers approved to receive the Transit Report can now view summaries of, and select and sort by specific product information.

Web Bill of Lading Update--Subtotal and grand total lines have been added to the commodity description area of my.roadway.com to automatically total the number of shipping units, pieces and weight.

Customer specific rates for Time Critical Services and Mexico bound shipments--A completely redesigned my.roadway/my.reimerexpress rate quote application provides customers rate quote capability to Mexico combination rates; added display of guaranteed service products with every rate quote; extended quote capabilities for input of specific NMFC numbers; ability to add an excess liability option and fee computation.

Roadway Selected One of Best Places to Work

Computerworld has selected Roadway as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals for the fourth consecutive year. This honor, part of the newspaper's 10th annual 100 Best Places to Work survey, was published in the June 9 issue.

Computerworld's annual "Best Places to Work in IT" feature ranks the top 100 work environments for technology professionals based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. More than 11,500 IT workers were surveyed.

2003 State Truck Driving Championships Are Movin' On

Team Roadway is now 34 strong! Roadway State Truck Driving champions include winners from twenty-four states. Grand Champions are Greg Nauertz, Phoenix, AZ; Eric Stutz, South Bend/Elkhart, IN; George West, Chicago Heights, IL. Kevin J. Dean won Rookie of the Year in Atlanta, GA. Roadway has won the Team Trophy in CO, IL, OH, MA, MT, NH and WI.

Congratulations to everyone that competed and assisted the teams. Attend the 66th National Truck Driving Championships held in August 19-23, 2003 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Read more about upcoming state competitions and find the one nearest you.

Roadway's Chris Bates Wins At Spokane

Roadway pickup and delivery city driver, Chris Bates, won at the Spokane Transportation Club's 19th annual Washington State Truck Driving Championships. Bates won first place, 4-axle competition, and tied for first place, Pre-trip Inspection. Domiciled at Hermiston, OR, Bates won the competition three of the last four years.

Roadway's Jay Schaffer Named "New York State Driver of the Year"

Roadway linehaul driver, Jay Schaffer, was selected as the "New York State Driver of the Year" at the NY State Motor Truck Association awards banquet. Domiciled at Buffalo, NY, Schaffer has traveled over 1.75 million safe miles without a preventable accident while serving Roadway customers.

Safety Milestone Achievers--Gemma, Koedel, Zimmerman, Bennett

· Tony Gemma, a pickup and delivery city driver for 30 years, has logged over two million safe miles, the equivalent of approximately 117,333,000 trips from home plate to first base. Gemma is domiciled at our West Chester, PA facility. Read more...

· Mike Koedel, professional switcher, has logged one million accident free miles. Koedel, a switcher for eight years, worked approximately 25,000 hours to achieve this milestone. Domiciled at our Cincinnati, OH facility, Koedel joined Roadway in 1979 as a dock worker. Read more...

· Tom Zimmerman, pickup and delivery driver, has logged one million accident free miles. Zimmerman is domiciled at our East Peoria, IL facility. Read more...

· Steve Bennett, a pickup and delivery city driver for Roadway for 18 years, domiciled at West Chester, PA, has traveled over one million safe miles.
