The Department of Homeland Security has been working on several initiatives to improve security at all of our major ports and border crossings. These initiatives will, over time, drastically change how shipments are imported and exported. Initiatives are being phased in between October and January. The first initiative began on Friday, October 1, 2004.
We here at Roadway are prepared. We are C-TPAT, PIP and FAST approved. We worked with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to help develop these initiatives and participated in pilot programs. Click here to find out more.
CNBC business reporter Rob Reynolds interviewed Bill Zollars, chairman, president and CEO of Yellow Roadway Corp., for a report on energy that will air Wednesday, Oct. 6. The broadcast will include employees and trucks at Roadway's Toledo, OH facility.

Twenty-three of Roadway's professional drivers have recently achieved the two million mile accident-free milestone. In addition, sixty-four of Roadway's professional drivers recently achieved the one million mile accident-free milestone.
