Homeland Security Update

The Department of Homeland Security has been working on several initiatives to improve security at all of our major ports and border crossings. Over time, these initiatives will drastically change how shipments are imported and exported. These initiatives are being phased in between October and January.

Dept. of Defense Recognizes Roadway as Patriotic Employer

Roadway was honored by the Department of Defense's National Committee for Employer Support of the National Guard and Army Reserve. Sergeant First Class Jai M. Quick, Truck Master 762nd Trans. Co., U.S. Army Reserve, presented Roadway with the Patriotic Employer certificate of appreciation.

Roadway Named 2004 "Top 100 Motor Carrier"

Inbound Logistics has named Roadway a 2004 "Top 100 Motor Carrier" from over 300 trucking companies. The award's main criterion is based on how well carriers can provide trucking solutions to best meet the diverse needs of customers.

Roadway Drivers Reach Milestones

Gary Stover (Hagerstown, MD) has achieved the career milestone of driving three million miles without a preventable accident in a career spanning 32 years with Roadway. He received a plaque, a jacket, and a tractor with his safety achievement emblazoned on the door. More information about Gary can be found here.

Also, two of Roadway's professional drivers have recently achieved the one million mile accident-free milestone: Garry Grow (Springdale, AR) and Tim Bruce (Tampa, FL).
