Roadway drivers are reliable, responsive, and reaching safe-driving milestones.
Two Roadway drivers have recently achieved the exceptional career milestone of driving 3 million consecutive miles without a preventable accident — the mammoth equivalent of circling the earth's equator 120 times — Lee Burks from our Valdosta, GA, facility; and David A. Johnson from our Albuquerque, NM facility. Lee has driven for Roadway for 35 years and David for 34 years.
These 2 professional drivers are now a part of the Roadway 3 million miler team that includes over 80 active drivers in its ranks.
Also, 3 Roadway drivers have recently reached 2 million consecutive miles without a preventable accident: Cloyd H. Nightingale (Memphis, TN) with 28 years of service; Kevin E. Murphy (Harrisburg, PA) with 27 years of service; and Jay L. Pryor (St. Louis, MO) with 33 years of service.
Imagine driving 2 million accident-free miles . . . the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 80 times, without a preventable accident.
