Roadway-sponsored PGA Tour Professional Bart Bryant recently hosted "Inside the PGA Tour" on the Golf channel. This magazine show provides glimpses into the life of a professional golfer and reviews past and previews upcoming tournaments. Bart was the defending champion of this past weekend's Memorial Tournament played in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to the start of the 2006 Memorial Tournament, Bart toured the Christina's Smile Children's Dental Clinic. This nonprofit program, in cooperation with the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, delivers quality comprehensive charitable dental care to children in need in the communities that host a PGA Tour and Champions Tour tournament.
Since 1990, Roadway has supported Christina's Smile by moving and maintaining the 48-foot trailer that houses the three mobile dental clinics free of charge. Roadway employees have raised over $2.7 million for this cause through numerous activities over the years.
Roadway has transformed a 53-foot trailer into a mobile museum featuring historic photos, video, uniforms and other memorabilia that illustrates the rich history of Negro Leagues Baseball. The Times of Greatness exhibit also features a life-size replica of baseball legend Leroy "Satchel" Paige.
With the support of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Roadway is proud to share the second season of Times of Greatness, the first-ever mobile museum dedicated to Negro Leagues Baseball.
The tour will soon be visiting Cincinnati, OH; Memphis, TN; St. Louis, MO; Chicago, IL; and Minneapolis, MN.
Times of Greatness visits professional ballparks, Roadway facilities and other exciting locations across the country. Check out the current tour schedule with public viewing dates to experience it for yourself!
We recently received a letter from Rich D., a manufacturing manager who had what he considered "a nightmare shipment from Canada." Rich asserted: "It had all the ingredients for disaster: residential pickup, not crated properly, no border broker, needed lift gate, unsure of paperwork, split load to 2 separate destinations."
After calling his Roadway customer care representative, Rich declared: "I was amazed. Every detail was arranged. I was even provided with contacts for border brokerage. It was a novice shipper's dream. My shipment arrived this morning in perfect condition."
His letter concluded with: "As you well know, pricing is fiercely competitive in the shipping industry. I get usually 3 companies a week knocking on the door with promised lower rates, faster ship times, and the list goes on. Basically, it has boiled down to customer service. I have dealt with many other shipping companies. Your service is first rate. I truly appreciate the expert customer service and look forward to a long prosperous relationship with Roadway."

Roadway driver Glenn Jones from our Nashville, TN, service center has driven FOUR million consecutive miles without a preventable accident. This remarkable feat is the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 160 times and a unique accomplishment in the trucking industry. He joined Roadway in 1973.
Four Roadway drivers have recently achieved the career milestone of driving THREE million consecutive miles without a preventable accident--the mammoth equivalent of circling the earth's equator 120 times: George E. Pfluge (Nashville, TN) with Roadway since 1978; Theodore S. Gambill (Meridian, MS), with Roadway since 1977; Robert G. Herber (Meridian, MS) with Roadway since 1975; and Michael F.
