We have changed our network based on customer needs. In mid-March thousands of jobs and pieces of equipment were repositioned to reflect a new type of transportation network.
In early April, we reduced transit times in the eastern part of the USA to reflect our more efficient movement of shipments.
On June 19, we reduced transit times on many transcontinental lanes, reflecting our new capabilities from the middle of the country and the east coast to the west coast.
New connections for Canada and more direct routes allow for even better service to and from USA points and significant locations in most provinces.
We are changing the way we do business and remain dedicated to providing simple, smart and effective transportation services throughout North America and the world. We are dedicated to providing Roadway — your way.

Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star and Akron native LeBron James and the James Family Foundation hosted the second annual "King for Kids Bikeathon" on June 24, 2006. The event was made possible with the help of the City of Akron and supporters, including local sponsor Roadway.
LeBron James led the bikeathon followed by other sports and entertainment celebrities. Fifty Roadway Corporate Team bicyclists also participated in the 8-mile route throughout Akron, Ohio.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of bicycles to Akron children who displayed outstanding citizenship and character this past year. Roadway provided gratis transportation for the bicycles. Pictured above at delivery are (from left) Terry Gilbert, Roadway Executive V.P., Sales & Marketing; Mike Smid, Roadway President & CEO; Kent Starks, Marketing Director James Family Foundation; and Chris Dennis, Executive Director James Family Foundation.
Proceeds were donated to the Akron Area YMCA and the Akron Urban League. Look further.
