Roadway Drivers Finalists For 2007-2008 America's Road Team

Roadway Drivers Finalists

Five Roadway professional truck drivers were selected as finalists to become Road Team Captains in the 2007-2008 America's Road Team: Albert Adams (Berlin Center, OH), William Kent Durant (Cheney, KS), James Gallagher (Williamsville, NY), Keith Johnson (Eatonville, WA), and Richard Scholl (Irondale, OH).

At Roadway, we are concerned and actively involved with safety on the highways.

Sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America, the America's Road Team is the trucking industry's premier ambassador group traveling across the U.S. speaking to the motor public, news media, civic groups and legislators, acting as role models for more than 3.2 million professional drivers, and representing the U.S. trucking industry.

Remembering Baseball Legend "Buck" O'Neil

Remembering Baseball Legend Buck O'NeilJohn Jordan "Buck" O'Neil, considered one of the greatest goodwill ambassadors of the Negro Leagues, died on Oct. 6, 2006. He was 94. Often a special guest at the Roadway "Times of Greatness" mobile museum, Buck was always eager to share stories from this important era in baseball. He will be terribly missed.
