Roadway Environmental Initiatives, Part One

Roadway Environmental InitiativesEnvironmental stewardship is a responsibility shared by all. At Roadway, many efforts are in place to preserve and protect the planet's natural resources.

We participate in programs and processes sponsored by our parent company, YRCW Worldwide (YRCW), for protecting the environment. Several of our initiatives focus on fuel.

We voluntarily use biodiesel fuel at select locations across the United States, in addition to locations where biodiesel use is mandated. Our corporate parent has voluntarily purchased well over three million gallons of biodiesel for use by YRCW companies, with one million gallons of that for the Roadway fleet.

Watch for more information on our environmental initiatives in our March eNews!

February Safe Driving Pointers

February Safe Driving PointersSlow down. Many accidents occur during this time of year because drivers are going too fast for the road conditions. A slower speed gives you more time to react if something occurs. Extra patience and care for other drivers can go a long way this time of the year.

Give yourself extra space. Allow for more room between yourself and other vehicles. You should always have enough space and time to move out of harm's way.
