Roadway has been recognized as the LTL Nationwide Carrier of the Year by the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference (NASSTRAC) for 17 consecutive years.
This was the 18th time overall of the 20 years the award has been presented that Roadway has won this award.
We were selected from a field of nationwide, regional or multi-regional less-than-truckload carriers. The award is determined on several criteria: overall high quality of service, superior performance in the LTL field, electronic data interface (EDI), innovation in quality service products, satellite tracking and other technology, service performance, loss and damage claim ratios, rating and billing accuracy, support of the association and its legislative goals.
We consider the NASSTRAC award especially significant. It is voted directly by its members, based on first-hand experience in working with us.
The third season of Roadway & Baseball is about to begin! Our partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum continues.
This year we visit 15 major league stadiums to create once-in-a-lifetime baseball experiences. The Times of Greatness mobile museum will be showcased at the National Truck Driving Championships (NTCD) in Minneapolis, MN in August.

At Roadway, we continue to use and evaluate new engine oil and lubricant technologies to allow extended service intervals--greatly reducing waste product generation.
We continue to evaluate fuel savings initiatives and policies such as using computers to automatically shut down an idling engine. Aerodynamic modifications to tractor and trailer configurations are reviewed along with fuel efficient tires and tread designs. Read more.

April 15-18 brings the sixth annual Professional Freight Handlers Competition to the John S. Knight Center in Akron, OH.
Sponsored by Roadway, the competition is designed to recognize outstanding safety performance on our loading docks.
This year twenty-seven professional freight handlers compete for the title of Grand Champion facing four challenges: a written examination, personal interview, pre-trip inspection, and a driving course.
Employees from around the country compete in local and regional run-offs to earn their way to this company-wide competition.

How can I get a rate quote for my shipment?
Based on customer suggestions, we've enhanced our Rating and Routing tool to give you a more accurate rate quote. Enter origin, destination, weight and class. Receive an itemized list of charges. You can also enter your discount, if applicable, and choose the currency. We'll figure the charges for you.
Who do I call if my shipment needs special handling?
Call your local Customer Care Team. We can transport almost any size, shape or density of shipment. If your shipment requires special consideration, note your needs on the BOL and call your Customer Care Team.
How do I obtain a proof of delivery or delivery receipt?
If the shipment is fairly recent, the fastest way to get a proof of delivery is by using the online POD. You may also request that delivery receipts be faxed to you by calling our telephone response system at 1-800-ROADWAY (1-800-762-3929).
