For the second year in a row and fourth time in six years, Ryder System, Inc., has named Roadway its carrier of the year in the national LTL category.
The 2006 Ryder Carrier Quality Awards program recognizes excellence through a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, claims handling, customer service, technology applications, economic value and innovation.

Times of Greatness will travel to Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore for a July 13-15 tour.
The 53-ft. Negro Leagues mobile museum has completed 10 of the stops on its 15-city tour.
The "Times of Greatness" tour moved through the Rocky Mountains, headed to the Midwest, and traveled to Milwaukee on June 22-23.

Bart Bryant is looking ahead to July 19-22 when he takes on the Brown Deer Park GC in Milwaukee, WI in the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee.
Champions Tour professional Brad Bryant tied for 22nd at The Red Course, Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY this past weekend.
Brad holds onto third place overall in the Charles Schwab Cup season-long race, and heads to the Senior British Open Championship presented by Aberdeen Asset Mngt. taking place July 27-30 at Muirfield Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland.

Thus far a total of 37 professional Roadway drivers have placed first in their respective classes at the state truck driving competitions--with two more states (NY & NJ) yet to hold their competitions.
These state level winners compete in the 70th Annual National Truck Driving Championships event on 8/21-25 held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Two 53-foot trailers full of donated items from Fairlawn Lutheran Church were recently transported by Roadway to flooded communities in Caldwell and Marietta, Ohio.
Roadway professional driver Jesse Holt Sr., has achieved the elite status of driving 3 million miles without a preventable accident.
