Ron's Tips for Winter Driving

Tips for Winter DrivingRon VanBibber, a driver account specialist from the Roadway service center in Salt Lake City, UT, has some safety tips to share for winter driving.

The February safe winter driving tip--Brake and accelerate lightly.

Try not to do anything too forcefully when driving in bad weather. When you need to slow down quickly in slippery conditions, try lightly pumping your brakes. This reduces your chance of locking your tires and spinning out of control. If your vehicle has ABS brakes, it is recommended that you hold the brake down as far as possible in an emergency. The ABS system prevents the wheels from locking, enabling you to steer around obstacles.

Answers to Frequently Asked Bill of Lading Questions

Bill of LadingOur Roadway Customer Care Teams get many questions day-to-day about the workings of our website.

The questions and answers below address some of the most frequently asked questions about our bill of lading (BOL) tool.

Q: The products I want to ship aren't in the product drop-down. How do I add them?
A: Click the "Add New Commodity" button in the commodities section of the BOL. A new line appears with a free-form-text description box. Complete your product information, then click the box at the far left of the line in the "Save" column. Your new product will appear in the drop-down box after you have submitted your BOL. If you don't want to save the product to your drop-down, don't check the "Save" box.

Q:How do I remove products from my product drop-down menu?
A: Contact Tech Support Help (see the tab under the menu bar at the upper-right of every page on our site for contact information). They will remove products for you.
