PIP: Partners In Protection
A voluntary initiative, joint government-business partnership to enhance border security, combat organized crime and terrorism, increase awareness of customs compliance issues, and to help detect and prevent contraband smuggling. PIP focuses on developing a more secure border environment throughout the supply chain through enhanced physical security thorough production, transportation and importation processes. Canada Customs Revenue Agency (CCRA) provides guidance for establishing, improving or amending security procedures along the entire supply chain.
