Twenty-One Roadway Drivers Take First Place at State Truck Driving Championships [06.05.2001]

Twenty-one Roadway drivers join the 2001 ATA National Truck Driving Championship Team. Roadway Express proudly announces the following drivers took first place in their respective state truck driving championships:

As state champions, these drivers will join the seven additional Roadway state champion drivers to compete at the American Trucking Association's (ATA) 2001 National Truck Driving Championships at the Minneapolis Convention Center August 22-25.

Maneuvering and other driving skills are put to the test, as well as their knowledge of vehicle operation and federal safety regulations, which is covered in a written examination. Competitors are also tested on vehicle inspection procedures.

These drivers merit the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill.
