AKRON, Ohio - April 12, 2002 - Barry K. Jackson, Marketing Manager, International for Roadway, was inducted into the Kaleidoscope Magazine Forty/Forty Club Class of 2002. Jackson received the award from Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell during a dinner held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Cleveland on March 21, 2002.
Kaleidoscope Magazine recognizes forty African Americans--age 40 and under--who are making significant contributions in the Cleveland area and within their organizations. Recently, Michael Wickham, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Roadway, spearheaded the involvement of Akron-based businesses in minority affairs. As a result, Jackson was nominated by Roadway due to his contribution to the Company in the world of international business and for being a devout Christian and family man.

Jackson joined Roadway fifteen years ago at the company's Chicago Heights, IL. facility, where he held various positions from dock supervisor to international sales representative. He has been at the corporate headquarters for the last eight years as marketing manager for the international markets.
Jackson resides in Akron with his wife, Alicia, and their four children. He is a dedicated member of The United Baptist Church of Akron where he is a Sunday school teacher and children's church teacher. He also supports his community by being a member of the Mentoring Mothers Program for the Department of Children and Family Services.
