Roadway Awards Scholarship to Natalina Elliott of Old Hickory, TN [06.20.2002]

AKRON, OH--June 20, 2002--Roadway Express, Inc. has awarded the Roadway Express, Inc. Scholarship to Natalina E. Elliott of McGavock High School in Nashville, Tenn. Natalina is the daughter of Kathleen Arivett and Gerald Elliott. Gerald is a mechanic for Roadway Express at the Nashville, Tenn., facility.

Natalina was chosen to receive the scholarship on the basis of her test scores, academic record, leadership and extracurricular accomplishments. The scholarship has a value of $5000 per year for up to four years.

A top student in her class, Natalina is included in Who's Who Among American High School Students and has earned further recognition as a Spence Medalist and recipient of the Student of America Award, the Academic Excellence Award, and the Principal's Award. Active in community service, she is a Senior Girl Scout, Peer Mentor, Teen Leader, and School Cleanup program participant, as well as a tutor for small classes and peers.

Future plans for Natalina include majoring in genetics in the fall.
