Roadway Express Names Kenneth J. Kossin, Jr., Director, General Accounting [11.25.2002]

AKRON, Ohio - November 25, 2002 - Roadway Express, Inc. today announced that Kenneth J. Kossin, Jr. has joined the Company as Director - General Accounting. He will be assuring compliance to the Federal Accounting Standards Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements, as well as financial analysis of Roadway and its subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Roadway, Kossin was employed for twelve years at Lesco, Inc. of Strongsville, OH, a publicly held manufacturer, distributor and retailer of professional turf products. He held several accounting positions at Lesco, and was their Corporate Controller since 1997.

"Ken's excellent accounting and managerial experience will complement Roadway's strategic plans at a time when credible financial reporting is so important," stated John Coleman, Controller for Roadway.

The organizations Kossin is a member of are the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Kossin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Cleveland State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kossin resides in North Royalton, OH with his wife, Rebecca and their daughter, Jessica.
