Stamford, CT--April 1, 2003--Tommy Sarao, a professional driver for Roadway Express, Inc. has logged one million miles, the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 40 times, without a preventable accident.
Sarao, 49, is a pickup and delivery driver for the company's Stamford facility and a member of Local 191 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. In the 13 years he has been with Roadway he has never had a preventable accident.

Sarao will be recognized for his achievement at a safety breakfast to be held at the Roadway facility in Stamford. He will also receive a plaque and jacket honoring his commitment to safety.

Sarao and his wife reside in Elmwood Park, NJ and they have one son. He is an active member of St. Leo's and enjoys spending time with his family.
