Roadway Express proudly announces that Wendell Becker took first place in the 4-Axle competition at the Arizona State Truck Driving Championship held this past Saturday (4/8/2000). This was Becker's fourth time placing at state and this summer will be his third trip to the nationals!
Becker works at the Phoenix, Arizona service center.
These competitions include difficult skills and maneuvering tests and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations. Competitors are also tested on vehicle inspection procedures.
These drivers merit the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill. As state champions, these drivers will compete at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC), which will be held at the
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, August 9-12, 2000.
