Roadway Express proudly announces that switcher Bob Appel of our Denver, CO facility will be joining Team Roadway at the 2003 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC).
Appel was awarded this honor after winning first place in the twins class at the Colorado Truck Driving Championships held at the Supervalu, Inc. in Aurora, CO on May 30-31.
Roadway also won the Colorado Team Trophy.
These competitions include a personal interview, challenging maneuvering tests, vehicle inspection procedures, and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations.
Bob Appel merits the highest recognition for his dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill. As a state champion, he is on the "Road to Columbus" to compete at the American Trucking Association's (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC), which will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, August 19-23, 2003.
