Roadway's Driver Tom Koch Heads to Nationals After Winning at Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships [06.07.2003]

Roadway Express proudly announces Tom Koch, Oklahoma driver, is a new addition to Team Roadway for the 2003 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC).

Tom Koch won first place in the 4-Axle class in this year's Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships. Tom is a road driver from Roadway's Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility. He was a previous winner at the 2001 Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships in the 4-Axle class. Tom has worked over 18 years in the trucking industry.

This competition includes difficult maneuvering tests and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations. Competitors are also tested on vehicle inspection procedures.

Our drivers merit the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill. As a state champion, Koch is on the "Road to Columbus" to compete at the American Trucking Association's (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships, which will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, August 19-23, 2003.
