Roadway Express proudly announces two Massachusetts drivers are new additions to Team Roadway for the 2003 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC).
Jim Brown, and Fernando (Junior) Noel, placed first in their classes at the Massachusetts Truck Driving Championships held in Chicopee, MA, on June 22, 2003.
Jim Brown, a driver/dock worker, won first place in the 3-Axle class. Jim is domiciled at Roadway's Brockton, Massachusetts facility.
Fernando (Junior) Noel won first place in the Flatbed class in this year's Massachusetts Truck Driving Championships. Fernando is a driver/dock worker from Roadway's Worcester, Massachusetts facility.
Roadway also won the Massachusetts Team Trophy.
This competition includes difficult maneuvering tests and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations. Competitors are also tested on vehicle inspection procedures.
These drivers merit the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill. As state champions, they are on the "Road to Columbus" to compete at the American Trucking Association's (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships, which will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, August 19-23, 2003.
