Roadway Express' Roger Tidrick Drives One Million Miles Accident Free [03.29.2004]

COLUMBUS, Ohio - March 29, 2004 - Roger Tidrick, a professional driver for Roadway Express, Inc. has logged one million miles, the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 40 times, without a preventable accident.

Tidrick, 50, is a pickup and delivery/switcher driver for the company's Columbus, OH facility and a member of Local 413 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. In the 27 years he has been with Roadway he has never had a preventable accident.

"We are proud of Roger's outstanding performance. His strong commitment to be engaged in serving our customers and working safely demonstrates the pride he has in his work and his company," stated Roadway Express President, Bob Stull.

Roger will be recognized for his achievement at a safety luncheon to be held at the Columbus facility. He will also receive a plaque and jacket honoring his commitment to safety.

"We all want to congratulate Roger for his exemplary safety record," said Columbus Terminal Manager, John Tillison. "It is a clear indication that he continuously applies safe driving techniques in an effort to promote highway safety and utilizes the extensive defensive driving training that our company provides it's drivers."

Roger and his wife reside in Hilliard, OH.
