
CINCINNATI, Ohio - April 2, 2004 - John Lightner, a professional driver for Roadway Express, Inc. has traveled over one million safe miles, the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 40 times, without a preventable accident.
Lightner, 54, has been a linehaul driver for Roadway for 11 years and is domiciled at the motor carrier's Cincinnati, OH facility. He is a member of Local 100 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Lightner will be recognized for his accomplishment with a celebration dinner, a plaque, and a jacket honoring his commitment to safety.

Lightner resides in Union, KY, with his wife of 35 years, Marcia. He has two children, and four grandchildren. In addition to being a "million-miler," John is also an avid NASCAR fan.
