Roadway Express proudly announces that Michael Jackson is a new addition to Team Roadway for the 2004 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC). This comes after placing first at the New York State Truck Driving Championships held in Albany, New York, on July 16-17, 2004.
Jackson, a driver/dock worker at Roadway's Brooklyn, New York facility, earned first place in the 3-Axle class.
These competitions include difficult maneuvering tests and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations. Competitors are also tested on vehicle inspection procedures.
These drivers merit the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, professionalism, and driving skill. As state champions, they are on the "Road to Salt Lake City" to compete at the American Trucking Association's (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships, which will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 18-21, 2004.
