Roadway Express Driver Garry Grow Travels One Million Miles Accident Free [10.18.2004]

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas - October 18, 2004 - Garry Grow, a professional driver for Roadway Express has logged one million miles, the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 40 times without a preventable accident.

Grow is a pickup and delivery driver for the company's Springdale facility and a member of Local 823 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. In the 16 years he has been with Roadway he has never had a preventable accident.

"We all congratulate Garry for reaching this outstanding milestone. With individual employee performance such as exists in Springdale, I am confident that this dedication can make our vision to become the "Safest Transportation Company in North America" a reality," stated Bob Stull, President of Roadway Express. "This success is testimony to the pride and commitment our engaged workforce has while serving our customers and working safely."

Grow enjoys playing golf as well as spending time with his family. He resides in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with his wife, Carolyn. They have one son.
