AKRON, Ohio - Roadway Express, a leading transporter of industrial, commercial and retail goods, has been named a 2004 "Top 100 Motor Carrier" in the September issue of Inbound Logistics. The magazine's editors used their Inbound Logistics Top Motor Carriers questionnaire as well as other sources to compile its annual Top 100 Motor Carrier issue. Selections have been made every September for the past eleven years.
Over three hundred trucking companies - from the largest, best-known companies to the smaller niche providers - were reviewed to reach this decision. Main criteria was not carrier size or revenue but on how well the carrier provided trucking solutions to best meet the diverse needs of its customers.
