
HAGERSTOWN, Maryland - October 25, 2004 - Gary Stover, a professional driver for Roadway Express, has logged three million miles, the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 120 times, without a preventable accident.
Stover, 54, is a linehaul driver for the company's Hagerstown facility and a member of Local 992 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. In the 32 years he has been with Roadway, he has never had a preventable accident.
"Safety has always been a core value for Roadway. Gary's strong commitment to be engaged in serving our customers and working safely demonstrates the pride he has in his work and his company," stated President of Roadway Express, Bob Stull. He joins an elite group of Roadway drivers, who exemplify the professionalism and skills to be the "best of the best" in our industry.
"We are all proud of Gary's accomplishment of outstanding performance that is representative of the Hagerstown team commitment to safety," stated Fran Gleason, Hagerstown Terminal Manager.
Stover will receive a tractor emblazoned with his accomplishment for his use while working for Roadway Express.

Stover and his wife of 35 years, Karen, live in the Chambersburg, MD area and have two children and one grandson. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
