TOLEDO, Ohio - February 22, 2004 - Roadway Express, a leading transportation solutions provider, announced the achievement of a milestone safety performance at its Toledo facility. The service center's 160 dock employees have worked an entire year without an injury. This equates to 227,737 hours worked without an occurrence.
"This accomplishment is a direct result of a large group of engaged employees working in a safe manner for 365 consecutive days," stated John McAbier, Director of Regional Operations in Toledo. "With a very active injury prevention council, employees put safety first. They are very proud of their accomplishments and are working toward extending their injury free record."
