This week, the American Red Cross will host its 80th Annual National Convention in San Francisco, CA, to connect more than 1,600 volunteers and employees of all ages from across the country--all 50 states, Washington, DC and two territories will have representation. Participants will engage in discussions and workshops regarding important issues facing the organization. This year's convention will be held May 27-May 29 and hosted by the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter and the Northern California Blood Services Region. It will encourage dialogue and planning that aims to propel the Red Cross to new heights in efficiency, relevance and service to our community and the country.
Roadway Express' sponsorship of this convention will help ensure that Red Cross employees and volunteers receive the highest-quality leadership development and training; critical skills they can bring back to our hometowns and beyond. A series of educational general and training sessions will focus on the Red Cross strategic direction, as well as information and support systems necessary to ensure the success of the Red Cross humanitarian mission.
