Roadway joined with the Motor Freight Carriers Association and Nationwide Insurance to kick off a new Smart Driver campaign for improving safety on Ohio's highways.
Mark Spencer, Roadway Express professional truck driver, provided a hands-on demonstration in Columbus, OH to show the dangers of driving in the "No Zone" (the blind spot areas around trucks where crashes can occur). He also highlighted basic safety tips--avoiding tailgating and buckling up.
Traffic congestion increases in the summer vacation months. Roadway promotes highway safety and education as keys in the fight against highway accidents and encourages everyone to become a "Smart Driver."
