Roadway Named Among Best Companies to Sell for by Selling Power Magazine [11.23.2005]

Roadway Express has been recognized as one of the 25 best service companies to sell for by Selling Power magazine in its annual "50 Best Companies to Sell For" study in the magazine's November/December issue.

Companies with sales forces of 500 or more are the primary focus. Data is examined and three key categories are considered: compensation (salaries, incentive pay plans and other benefit packages), training (time invested in initial selling-skills training and product-knowledge) and career mobility (frequency of performance reviews, turnover, promotions).

Companies were classified in two general industry groups--manufacturing and service. Overall scores were compiled and the top 25 of each group were named to the "50 Best Companies to Sell For" list.

The Selling Power research team concludes: "Anyone entering the sales field should begin job-seeking efforts by taking a good look at these top companies to sell for."
