Five Roadway professional truck drivers were selected as finalists to become Road Team Captains in the 2007-2008 America's Road Team: Albert Adams (Berlin Center, OH), William Kent Durant (Cheney, KS), James Gallagher (Williamsville, NY), Keith Johnson (Eatonville, WA), and Richard Scholl (Irondale, OH).
Sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America, the America's Road Team is the trucking industry's premier ambassador group traveling across the U.S. speaking to the motor public, news media, civic groups and legislators, acting as role models for more than 3.2 million professional drivers, and representing the U.S. trucking industry.
Nominees have an excellent safety record and demonstrate the ability to communicate their commitment to safety, professionalism, and courtesy.
The final round of competition will be held Jan. 15-19, 2007 at the American Trucking Associations headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
