Roadway professional driver, Joseph Fortin, has achieved the elite status of driving 4 million miles, roughly the equivalent of circling the earth's equator 160 times, without a preventable accident.
Fortin, age 64, has been with Roadway for 36 1/2 years. He has always worked out of the Columbus, Ohio facility and is a member of Local 413 of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Fortin was recognized by a police escort into the terminal on January 18, 2007. Over 30 retirees, Joe's family and the entire Columbus, Ohio facility met him at the gate to celebrate his milestone.
Joe's three children, Standish, Edward and Brittany are all proud of their father's exemplary record.
