TORO RECOGNIZES ROADWAY EXPRESS FOR EXCELLENCE IN DISTRIBUTION
AKRON, Ohio -- July 11, 1997 -- Roadway Express, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROAD) has won the 1997 Excellence In Distribution award from The Toro Company.
The awards recognize carriers for providing exemplary transportation service that results in significant contributions to the Toro's missions and goals. Roadway Express is the only less-than-truckload (LTL) motor carrier to receive the award this year. This marks the fourth consecutive year Roadway has been accorded this honor.
