ROADWAY EXPRESS HONORED BY FEDERATED LOGISTICS AS CARRIER OF THE YEAR
AKRON, Ohio -- July 21, 1997 -- The Federated Logistics division of Federated Department Stores, Inc. has named Roadway Express, Inc. as its 1996 "Carrier of the Year".
"We have a long-term relationship with Roadway that is mutually beneficial, " stated Jon Satterfield, senior vice president of Federated Logistics. "They are setting the standard for a shared commitment to quality freight transportation, convenience, value and on-time delivery for their customers."
Federated Logistics, based in Secaucus, N.J., supplies merchandise to Federated's department stores nationally, including such well-known retail names as: Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Burdines, and Lazarus.
