AKRON, Ohio -- August 17, 1998 -- For the fourteenth year in a row, Roadway Express, Inc. will be recognized in the August issue of Logistics Management and Distribution Report as a "Quest for Quality" Carrier.

The "Quest for Quality" is the only industry-wide quality recognition program in transportation. Recipients of the award must receive average or above-average scores, as rated by a sampling of Logistics Management and Distribution Report subscribers in five categories:

The survey, the oldest and largest in the country, had more than 2,600 participants this year.

"Reliable, responsive and efficient service is the basis of our operations, and three aspects we constantly strive to improve. The 'Quest for Quality' award illustrates the strides we make every year in these important areas."
