CONSOLIDATED DIESEL NAMES ROADWAY 1997 LTL CARRIER OF THE YEAR [4/24/98]

AKRON, Ohio -- April 24, 1998 -- Consolidated Diesel Company, based in Whitakers,N.C. this week named Roadway Express, Inc. as its 1997 LTL (less-than-truckload) Carrier of the Year.

Consolidated Diesel is a joint venture between Case Corporation and Cummins Engine Company that manufactures diesel, propane, natural gas and gasoline engines.
