ExpressWORKS®?
Choose File, Support Databases, Rating Maintenance, and then click on Pricing Program Maintenance Simple Or Advanced. Click on Search at the bottom, select Roadway with the effective date that matches your Tariff. Click on Basic or Advanced Edit. The default Pricing ID "AA" is displayed. Enter your percentage amount on the percentage or discount line and click the Save button. Where do I Enter Fuel Surcharge in ExpressWORKS?
Select File, Support Databases, Rating Maintenance, and then click on Fuel Surcharge Maintenance . Choose New at the bottom, enter a date and then enter the Percent To Apply, choose Save at the bottom. When a bill of lading is created the Fuel Surcharge field is automatically checked for completion on the bill. You will need to check our Web site for an updated percentage amount. Go to www.roadway.com, click on Shipper's Info and then on Fuel Surcharge. How do I know if the new rates in ExpressWORKS apply to me?

if I do not update to the current rates?
No, the software will not expire, however you do need to register to continue using the bill of lading module after a 60 day trial. You are not required to update the software, but you must remember that each year a new Rate Base is available and to stay on current rates, updates are recommended. screen in ExpressWORKS?
There are two options; you can change the resolution setting in Display Properties under Control Panel, or you can drag the screen's border to your desired size. How do I set up ExpressWORKS on a network?
ExpressWORKS cannot be installed directly to the server. The application needs to be installed on each user's workstation, with full administrative rights. Default installation will be sufficient, with the exception of directing the data to be installed on the network drive. You will be prompted to make this choice. Succeeding workstations may be installed in the same fashion, assuming that no data has been entered. From the File menu, point to Setup, and then select EDI Table Maintenance. Select New to add a new record. From the ANSI Selection drop-down list, select 277-UN/NA Identification. Enter the UN or NA number in the ANSI Code field. Enter the Proper Shipping Name in the Description field and then select Save to store the record to the permanent database. How do I obtain and enter a new block of PRO
numbers?
PRO numbers can be obtained from a sales representative at your Roadway service center. In ExpressWORKS for Windows, PRO numbers are entered in the carrier record. From the File menu, point to Support Databases, and then select Carrier Maintenance. Select List from the Record menu, or click on Search to list the carriers. Select Roadway Express from the list. On the B/L Tab make sure the Auto Pro box is checked in the bottom left corner. At the Next PRO Number field, enter the starting range of the PRO numbers obtained. At the Last PRO Number field, enter the ending range. The format should be 000-000000. Select Save to store the changes to the database. How do I archive my bills of lading?
From the Run menu, point to Bills Of Lading, and select Bill Of Lading Management. Enter the search criteria and select Run Query. The bills will be displayed in the grid. Select the bills (click on the first one in the list and hold down the Shift Key, and then click on the last bill in the list. This will select all the bills in between.) Click on Archive at the bottom of the screen. Enter your choice of the name of the archive file and select OK. You will find your archive file in \Program Files\ExpressW\Arch. How do I display my archived bills of lading?
Go to the Tools Menu and click on Options. Click on the Data Tab. Click on Use Archive under B/L Data at the bottom of the screen. A blank box with an arrow will appear. Click on the down arrow and choose the file name of the archived data you wish to display. Click on OK at the bottom. When you open the Advanced or Simple Bill of Lading you will see at the very top that you are using the Archived Data. You will need to return to the current data file before entering a new bill of lading. I am still using your DOS version of ExpressWORKS. How can I
get my data from the old version to the new ExpressWORKS?
You MUST be on Version 2.0x of the old ExpressWORKS. On the ExpressWORKS for Windows CD-ROM there is a folder called Convert. Double click on this folder and choose Convert.Exe. This will take your Addresses, Carriers, and Commodities from the old program and put it into the new program. How do I import my data into the ExpressWORKS

Type in the filename of the file you are going to Import, or click on Browse to find it. The Error File Name can be what you choose, but it has to have a .txt file extension. Select the appropriate file type. Follow the Tabs at the bottom to match the type of file that you are importing. Click on the Import button at the bottom.
